Following the growing momentum in Icelandic–Canadian aluminium cooperation, we are pleased to highlight an upcoming joint networking and technology event hosted by Alklasinn in collaboration with Canadian partners.
The Icelandic–Canadian net-zero aluminium event will take place on Tuesday, 17 February at 14:00, at Árleynir 8, IceTec. The event brings together representatives from industry, research organisations, and innovation ecosystems to explore collaboration opportunities in low-carbon aluminium production, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable technologies.
Participants will gain insights into Canadian and Icelandic aluminium innovation initiatives, with a particular focus on technology development, decarbonisation pathways, and strengthening industrial partnerships between the two countries. The event also provides a platform for networking and informal discussions around future joint projects and exchanges.
This gathering builds on the successful Icelandic aluminium delegation visit to Québec in September 2025 and supports ongoing efforts to deepen cooperation ahead of the planned Canadian delegation visit to Iceland in 2026.
We look forward to an engaging afternoon of knowledge sharing and collaboration that continues to strengthen ties between the Icelandic and Canadian aluminium communities.
