Icelandic–Canadian Networking Aluminium Event Strengthens Transatlantic Collaboration

Following the growing momentum in Icelandic–Canadian aluminium cooperation, Álklasinn, in collaboration with Canadian partners, successfully hosted a joint networking b2b event focused on aluminium technology solutions.

The Icelandic–Canadian Networking Aluminium Event took place on Tuesday, 17 February at IceTec, Árleynir 8, bringing together representatives from industry, research organisations, and public stakeholders. The event welcomed a visiting Canadian delegation of 10 companies, alongside representatives from the Canadian Embassy in Iceland and member companies of the Icelandic aluminium cluster.

The event provided a valuable platform for networking and informal exchanges, supporting the development of future joint projects, technology partnerships, and knowledge transfer.

This gathering builds on the successful Icelandic aluminium delegation visit to Québec in September 2025.

The strong engagement throughout the afternoon reflected a shared commitment to accelerating sustainable aluminium technologies and reinforcing ties between the Icelandic and Canadian aluminium communities.
